What’s up! I’m Jay Parrish, Realtor® and Associate Broker with Coldwell Banker Elite, and a proud Fredericksburg local for more than 20 years. I was born and raised in Fairfax, graduated from the University of Mary Washington right here downtown, and decided there was no better place to call home, raise my family, and help others do the same.
I’ve been in real estate for over a decade, and I’m passionate about guiding clients through the buying and selling process in a way that’s patient, compassionate, and stress-free. As one of my clients once said, "There’s no one on earth more patient, compassionate, and dedicated than Jay. He helped us make a difficult situation painless and sold our house for over asking in just a few days!" That’s the kind of experience I strive to create for every client.
Before real estate, I gained valuable skills in sales and negotiation working for a Fortune 500 company, owned and operated a successful small business, and even taught marketing and business classes. I use that background to market homes with creativity and precision, combining professional photography, video, and AI-driven tools to tell each property’s unique story.
I know Fredericksburg inside and out, from the best coffee shops and new restaurants to the best parks and weekend events. In fact, I send out a weekly local newsletter to keep my clients and neighbors in the loop about what’s happening around town. For me, real estate isn’t just about the transaction; it’s about helping people connect with a community they’ll love.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll probably find me with my wife and two daughters exploring a new park, trying out a local restaurant, or traveling somewhere with my camera in hand. I played basketball at the University of Mary Washington and still love staying active. I enjoy relaxing at the golf course, and recently started learning pickleball.
If you’re thinking about buying or selling in the Fredericksburg area, I’d love to help you write your next chapter and make the process as smooth (and maybe even fun) as possible.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
