Below is a summary list of the expenses that each agent incurs when beginning their career. This is an estimated list of the minimum services an agent in Virginia must procure in order to begin.
Real Estate Licensing Course
- Approximately $379
PSI State and National Testing
- Testing – $60
License Activation at the Virginia Department of Occupational and Professional Regulation
- License Activation- $170
REALTOR® Association (Required within 30 days of affiliation)
- New Member Fee – $275
- Local, State and National Association Dues – $690 (prorated throughout the year)
- Total – $965
Sentrilock Lockbox System
- Service – $150
- New Activation – $75
- Total – $225
MRIS Multiple Listing Service (Required within 30 days of affiliation)
- New Subscription Fee – $250
- Quarterly Fees – $119
- Total – $369
Errors and Omission Insurance (Provided by Broker)
- $300-$600 (CBE’s is only $300 / year)
